ABOUT

Hello! I'm Michelle!

I am passionate about working with individuals who are feeling lost, depleted, and disconnected from themselves and their loved ones due to their mental health issues. I love holding space for people who feel like they are trying on multiple versions of themselves to see which is the right fit - and embrace all versions as important and valuable. My work is centered in understanding how to feel our emotions (because emotions are never the problem) and how we can regulate them when acting on them is ineffective in our relationships and our day to day lives. We work to balance acceptance and change while building a life worth living. I use a balance of irreverence and warmth within the therapeutic process. We use elements of DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Somatic practices, and Functional Analytical Psychotherapy. As an Asian-American woman, I am also passionate about providing support for other Asian-Americans and People of Color in the community who are searching for a place to explore their identities freely and without judgment.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW #LW61601450) and am currently being supervised by Carmen Berzinski, LICSW. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington in 2022. I am also a licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) and have been working in the chemical dependency field for over five years.
